A new view for the New Year

This January, we’ve resolved to help you make this year your most productive yet. Once you’ve set a work goal in Asana for 2015, you’ll be ready to tackle it, task by task, in Asana. And whether you’re just getting started, or already using Asana with your team, get ready for a bunch of new features and updates that will make working together — and accomplishing your goals — easier than ever.

In fact, over the course of this month, we’ll be unveiling several new features and product updates to help improve your workflow and to add a little more fun to work day. Let’s accomplish some great things together in 2015. Without further ado, our first new feature of 2015…

See all of your attachments in one place

The ability to keep your files together with tasks in Asana makes it easy to find what you need, when you need it. When you attach a file from your computer, Dropbox, or Google Drive to a task, you ensure nothing gets lost in the abyss of disorganized file storage systems. But there was something still missing from our attachments feature — a way to view every file in one place.

We’ve added a new Project View to Asana, Attachments View, to help you browse and locate files much more quickly. You’ll find Attachments View in the top of the center pane next to List View and Calendar View. Clicking on the image icon will display every file attached to a task in that project in a grid-like gallery, so you can see every attachment at a glance, and without having to dig through task details.

When you open an attachment preview in this view, you’ll see the attachment in a new browser window. To see the original task with the attachment, click task name below the preview of the attachment. Attachments on completed tasks will also show up in Attachments View.

Providing more intuitive ways to access the information you need, when you need it, is a priority for us. We hope that Attachments View allows you to find, edit, and finalize files faster than ever before. This is just one of many new features we’re rolling out this month, so stay tuned for more.
