What's New in Asana

New celebrations: Meet the yeti

After years of flying solo, our unicorn is getting some teammates. This week, we are launching three new celebrations to give you and your team the occasional animated commemoration of a job well done. Monday we reintroduced the unicorn, Tuesday the narwhal, Wednesday the phoenix, and today we’d like to introduce you to the final addition of the Asana team: the yeti.

Who is the yetiasana yeti

The yeti might seem cold at first, but he’s a big teddy bear once you get to know him. He’s been a travelin’ man before settling down with Asana and he’s excited to have a place to call home.

The yeti is a bit shy, so you can expect to see him hidden beneath the deepest, oldest, hardest-to-complete tasks. Other times, he’s lurking with his laptop, getting work done. Here’s what he has to say about joining the celebrations team:

“I’m so focused on the task at hand that checking off tasks is the best part of my day. I’m pleased to be on the celebrations team and able to inspire users every step of the way.”

On his days off, the yeti enjoys mountain walks, anti-fur protests, and snowshoeing. If you’re lucky enough to celebrate with him, be sure to get a quick look—he tends to keep a low profile.

How do I see the new celebrations?

Enable celebrations in the Display tab of My Profile Settings. Celebrations automatically appear on Android or iOS devices after enabling on your desktop.

Be the first to spot a celebration and win

As we announced on Monday, each day we’ll announce a new celebration. Today (Thursday) it’s the yeti. The first person to spot (and screenshot) a celebration could win a $500 Seamless gift card to treat their team to lunch and some sweet Asana swag. Read more details about the contest and the story of the unicorn here.

Congratulations to Thursday’s winner
